A series of celebrations for the 60th anniversary of the independence of Trinidad and Tobago kicked off in the " Belt &Road" ambassador village

On July 28, the Embassy of Trinidad and Tobago in China to hold the "Taste of Angostura" Rum Tasting Event in the " Belt &Road" ambassador village , which kicked off a series of celebrations to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago.
Ambassador H.E.Ms. Analisa low said in the event: “Today, as we reflect on our journey over the past 60 years as a relatively young independent nation, we celebrate the enormous strides made in expanding from agriculture into energy and manufacturing, producing world class rums, chocolate from our famous Trinitario cocoa, spices, and food and beverages. ”
Dr. Li Ruonhong , Chairman of China World Peace Foundation, said in his speech: “As a pearl in the Caribbean area, the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago is not only famous for its energy and tourism resources, but also for its harmonious ethnic diversity, which displays its power of inclusiveness to the world. Today, while tasting Rum, we can meet friends and appreciate some exhibits of Peace Garden museum for the promotion of peace and friendship in cultural interaction.”
Before the event, in the peace landscape corridor area, Chairman Li and some Caribbean envoys to China unveiled the Peace Stone by Ambassador H.E.Ms. Analisa low"let us become a channel of peace".
